Forbes: Hollywood’s Best Actors For The Buck
Source: Forbes Shia LaBeouf offers most ‘bang for the buck’, says pollShia LaBeouf delivers a better financial return for every dollar he is paid than any other actor in Hollywood, according to a new poll. For the second year running, LaBeouf topped the Forbes magazine list of stars who offer the most “bang for the buck”, earning an estimated $81 (£52) profit for every $1 he is paid. His position is due to the financial success of films such as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which made $836m last year, and 2008′s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which notched up $787m worldwide in 2008. Second place went to Anne Hathaway, thanks to the success of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, in which she starred as the White Queen. The film made more than $1bn globally, with Hathaway herself worth $64 for every $1 she is paid. • Read full story… Shia LaBeouf never lies about his personal life or his moviesThe actor often finds himself being quizzed about his relationships when he is promoting movies, but knows it is just part of the business. The star of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps insists he doesn’t see the point in telling lies about his private life and prefers to remain open. “I’ve never lied. I’ve never lied about my life. I’m super-honest. This is who I’ve been since day one,” he told a film magazine. Shia applies the same approach when discussing movies he’s starred in and says audience’s deserve to be told if a movie isn’t very good. The star thinks it’s better to warn viewers that a movie hasn’t worked because otherwise they will discover the truth for themselves when they go to see it. • Read full story… Shia LaBeouf: “Indiana Jones 5 Will Be Crazy”SHIA LaBeouf says the fifth indiana Jones movie sounds “crazy”. The actor can’t wait to reprise his role as Indy’s son alongside Harrison Ford and has already had a sneak peek at the new adventure being planned by director Steven Spielberg. “They’re script writing right now,” says Shia. “I got called into Steven’s office and he pitched a little bit to me and it sounds crazy, it sounds really cool.” Shia — who is currently dating British beauty Carey Mulligan — recently insisted he’s not a “huge spender”. “I’ve never been a huge spender. I bought my parents’ houses because I was young and thinking like most single children whose parents are going through a divorce, I wanted to try and make things better,” he said. “I realized they just weren’t meant to be and that’s beautiful too and they’re friends. Otherwise it’s mainly Dodger tickets. Seriously, I go pretty hard on those.” Source: Showbiz Spy John Hillcoat And Shia LaBeouf May Team Up For New Cop DramaEarlier this year, John Hillcoat and Shia LaBeouf were going to make The Promised Land together, a film about three brothers working as bootleggers, but the project quickly fell apart after the fall of the finance company backing the film collapsed. But if a filmmaker and an actor are determined to work together, they will find a way, and it appears that Hillcoat and LaBeouf have. The Wrap reports that the two have expressed interest a spec script titled Triple Nines from writer Matt Cooke, though neither is in negotiations. The story centers on a group of corrupt cops planning a heist who realize they need to shoot one of their own in order for their plan to succeed. The victim they choose is a young cop on the right side of the law. The title of the project comes from the police code “999″ which is the signal sent out when an officer is in need of assistance. • Read full story… Zac Efron is a little jealous of Shia LaBeoufMost girls out there don’t mind Zac Efron’s good guy, Disney star image, but he does sometimes think about being a little more dangerous and a bit of a bad boy. Efron has revealed that he is somewhat jealous of Shia LaBeouf’s carefree personality: “[T]hat’s awesome to not give a s**t. And Shia still pulls it off,” reports E! News. He also admires that some people just act that way naturally, calling it “so cool.” It’s unlikely that there are many girls out there who will hold it against him for not being a bad boy like Shia. Source: Hollywood News Shia LaBeouf Tries to Steal Paparazzo’s CameraWhen Shia LaBeouf said he values his privacy, he means it: X17 Online reports that police questioned the Transformers star yesterday for allegedly stealing a paparazzo’s camera equipment. According to X17, LaBeouf was none too happy when he saw photographers congregating outside of his house yesterday afternoon, and in retaliation, he reportedly went outside and removed a bunch of camera equipment from a paparazzo’s car. He then went back into his house with the stuff and called the police, because the first thing you do when you commit theft is notify authorities of your actions. Officers responded to scene and convinced the actor to return the camera and its accoutrements, though no charges were filed. “We handle each incident on a case-by-case basis,” an anonymous police source told X17. Though he’s never reached Sean Penn-levels of rage, LaBeouf doesn’t have the best history with the paparazzi. In April, he blew up at a photographer, allegedly telling him, “If you follow me all day, I am going to f*ck you up.” Source: Dose Shia LaBeouf on Megan Fox: “I Really Miss the Girl”It’s one of the movie world’s biggest feuds: Megan Fox versus Michael Bay. She calls her Transformers director “a nightmare to work for” with “no social skills at all.” He says that “nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her.” She quit, he’s replaced her. But it’s easy to forget in all this back-and-forth that other stars have feelings, too, you know. Like Shia LaBeouf: “I love Megan and I miss the girl,” the Transformers star tells USA Today. He has hope for the future, though. “Sam and Mikaela [LaBeouf's and Fox's characters] became one character,” he goes on to say, “and here [with the casting of Rosie Huntington-Whitely]…You have discovery again from a new perspective.” • Read full story… Shia LaBeouf 2010 MTV Movie Awards NominationsShia LaBeouf along with his movie, ‘Transformers 2′ have received several nominations at the upcoming 2010 MTV Movie Awards which will be held on June 6, 2010. I land in New York, secretly thinking I’m like the coolest guy in the world. I’ve been on the cover of GQ! But then I met these guys, and it’s humbling. It’s the most sex-drugs-and-rock-’n’-roll atmosphere that exists on the planet. I was hanging out with some wild human beings….It’s easy to villainize these guys with the big paychecks,” Shia says. “…They’re not all bad. I’m a pretty left-wing character, and I come from whatever collar is lower than blue. But meeting these guys really opened my mind a lot. I’ve never seen people with more drive and determination in my life.”” Shia On His Relationship With Co-Star Girlfriend Carey Mulligan: “I never really had anything in my life that was off-limits, but with this, just out of respect, I just don’t want to fuck around. She’s an unbelievably thought-provoking actress, the most talented actress I’ve ever met in my life, by leaps and bounds. Neither one of us are fame whores. It works out. It’s not like we’re the premiere couple; we’re not the red-carpet king and queen.” • Read full story… |
